A quality French striking gorge cased carriage clock by Brunelot. A quality gilt case with shaped and stepped mouldings and a large glass top aperture. The original lever escapement. An enamel dial with fine numerals and 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Push button repeating. A subsidiary alarm dial. Marked to the backplate B in a circle. Circa 1885.
