Description

A Sussex Victorian fusee dial wall clock. A mahogany case with a brass bezel surround. A 12" painted dial with blued steel hands and signed 'EVERSHED, CLIFTONVILLE, BRIGHTON'. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1880.

Arthur Evershed of Brighton is recorded in Loomes 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working in 1878. He worked in Church Road, Hove.
