Stunning English Victorian gilt brass inkstand with blue glass insert panels which covers beautiful engine turned silver metal diamond decoration which unfortunately does not show in the photographs. Has hinged lid and original felt base, and cobalt blue glass removable liner.. Circa 1880. From the retailer Howell , James & Co, Regent Street, London. Porbably the best inkstand we've seen for many years.
