Description

A good English Victorian mahogany butler's cupboard. The front doors are panelled and have working lock and key to right and open to reveal X2 shelves with a pull-out drawer below which has twin brass handles and X3 compartments. The interior also has a bolt lock to the inside of the left door. The cupboard has two brass handles to either end for ease of carrying. The exterior is beautifully dovetailed (a sign of quality). Circa 1880. The shelves probably would have been used to store table napkins, with the drawer used for spare cutlery.
