Description

A very good quality Early Victorian writing slope. Flame grain veneer to the top and front. The top and front have top quality brass inlay with brass cartouche and escutcheon. The sides have two military carrying handles.
Inside there are two opening writing flaps with a new green tooled skiver leather. There is an inner secret compartment covered by a concealed panel hiding three small drawers. There is a flip pen tray which hides the trigger mechanism. It has it's original ink well and blotting shaker.
The base has it's original baize material. This is very good example writing slope.
