Description

A stunning Edwardian Inlaid mahogany envelope card table. This is a quality version of this type of table. The top swivels to reveal scolloped cut outs which allow each leaf to turn over with ease. Each leaf has a large satinwood banding to the edge with further satinwood string inlay.
The unusual thing about the top is the corners. Most card tables I have seen have been square this has re entrant corners with a lovely moulded edge also most have a pop up button to open, but this one you use the palm of your hand.
It has a slim drawer to one edge with beautiful inlaid bell flowers with two cast brass drawer pulls. It sits on four tapering legs terminating with brass castors.The two legs aside the drawer also have pretty inlay to the top. All the other legs and sides have satinwood banding with satinwood string inlay. The inside has counter dishes and it still has it's original baize a little played on but still very useable. A nice quality table.
