Description

A rare early Victorian mahogany leather upholstered library chair in exceptionally original condition. This is a beautiful example of this majestic style of library furniture. It's hard to believe this chair still maintains it's original buttoned leather covering.
I understand some people would have this chair re covered, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
All the mahogany timber is of fine quality and it sits on brown china castors which work well. The back rest is supported by nicely carved mahogany brackets. This is a rare survivor and has all the charm of a well loved and lived in chair with that real character and would enhance any desk.
