Description

Large, heavy and beautifully carved fire surround with a central coat of arms and roundels to either side with the initials RK to the left, and IMK to the right.

The fireplace has pale green and white overlaid tiles to each side, very much in the style of Minton, with birds on flowering branches.

The carving is of vine leaves with bunches of grapes and the fireplace has an overmantle shelf which is 6'11" wide and 50 1/2" high.

The outer dimensions of the surround are 68" W x 50 1/2" H and the inner dimensions of the opening 36" wide x 37 1/2" high
