Description

A 10" terrestrial desk globe by Geographia of 55 Fleet Street, London, dating from circa 1920. Geographia was started in the early 1900's by Alex Goss, a Hungarian, and was eventually purchased by Rand McNally in the 80's. Many countries shown on this globe have since changed their names, and their boundaries, which makes it interesting to study.

The globe sits on a turned wooden base and though it shows signs of a long working life, apart from some scuffs, there is no damage.

The total height of the globe is 40 cm and maximum width is 27 cm.
