This is an antique vanity box. An English, Victorian travelling vanity case in rosewood and dating to the mid 19th century, circa 1850.

Of fine quality in a sumptuous rosewood case

The hinged lid lifts to reveal a suite of glass jars
Silver plated lids and jars in good order
The scissors remain from the implements

Small loop handles lift-out an internal tray offering storage beneath
A button at the rear of the box releases the lower drawer
A mirror is concealed behind the ruched, royal blue velvet lid lining
