This is a vintage decorative robe box. An Oriental, stained pine linen or wash basket, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1930.

Highly distinctive storage, with a charming Oriental Art Deco appeal
Displays a desirably aged patina, with time-worn weathering
Stained pine presented in a tasteful deep blue hue to the tapering casework
Caramel staining to the lower fascia with pinned bamboo trim

Top adorned with the remnants of a decorative floral scene and brass pull
One half of the lid opening to a clean, russet coloured interior
Each fascia hosts a colourful decorative frieze, with figural and foliate motif
Dressed to either end with brass drop handles for ease of movement
