Wilhelm Kage RARE Swedish Art Pottery Argenta Vase

Description
An exceptional early 20th century, Swedish art pottery vase from Wilhelm Kage's (1889 - 1960) 'Argenta' range of wares. This large (24.5 cm H) and substantial (2.1kg) vase , of striking baluster form and hand-thrown in porcelain is the best I've encountered.
The design is breathtaking: an exquisite and intricate design of scrolling lotus flowers, petals and tendrils, in low relief with applied silver over a glorious green / turquoise ground glaze.
This specific pattern is one of the finest and most highly regarded from the Argenta range and is very rarely offered for sale. Examples on such a large and impressive scale are scarcer still, making this piece of undoubted exhibition quality and museum interest.
This pot is very early, having date letter 'A' to the base for 1930 (the year that the Argenta concept was first introduced at the celebrated Stockholm Exhibition).
This glorious vase represents a sound blue chip acquisition for any museum, institution or serious collector of Scandinavian design and ceramic art.
Markings:
Fully signed in silver script to the underside:
'HANDDREJAD GUSTAVSBERG' (hand thrown Gustavsberg).
Anchor mark next to a small 'c'.
'KAGE'
'1044'
Date letter: 'A' (EARLY - circa 1930).
Produced by Gustavsberg.
Condition:
In super condition with no chips, loss, cracks or restoration. The green glaze has a network of crazing, (which is commensurate with age and is not deemed as damage). A little tarnish to the silver design, again commensurate with age.
A very original, untouched piece, in private ownership for some 40 years.
