A highly decorative and unusual small Victorian display case or bijouterie cabinet.

Beautiful graduated or 'tiered' design of triangular cross section. Dentil cornice below a shaped top. Originally designed to go on a counter or work top.

A pair of graduated thick glass shelves is enclosed by a hinged glass fall-front, held in place with a pair of catches, as shown. The back is inset with mirror glass, which deepens the look of the case to great effect.

This super and charming little cabinet displays wonderful rich colour, with a lovely glow coming from dark wood that has seen years of use and repeated polishing.

An ideal cabinet for the display of:

select pieces of porcelain, silver, snuff boxes, trinkets various bijouterie or objet d'art.

Alternatively this would look fabulous in a vintage kitchen where it could be used to store spices...or in a bathroom: an ultra stylish storage solution for razors, soaps and balms!
