Royal Doulton Lambeth stoneware tyg

Description
A rare Royal Doulton Lambeth three handled stoneware salt glazed tyg, stamped 'Doulton Lambeth'.The main body depicts both tavern & hunting scenes.
This tyg depicts period dressed locals drinking in a tavern & underneath these are running hounds & stags.
There are three small handles with a foxhound suspended from each, forming the three large handles on the piece.
This piece has a salt glaze decoration on the main part of the body with a brown glazed band at the top which covers about a quarter of the piece.
Salt glazed stoneware is pottery with a translucent glaze that has a slight orange-peel texture.
The tyg was also known as a 'loving cup' or 'pass cup' as they were often used by 2 or more people to drink from.
In the 1800's, Lambeth of London became a centre for the production of salt glazed stoneware, this later became The Royal Doulton Company.

RETURNS
Customers purchasing items over the internet can be assured that we offer a 14 day returns policy in the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your purchase.
We will issue a full refund less the RETURN transport/courier costs once the item is returned back to us in the same condition as when it left us and with the same courier, the return fee should be the same as the delivery fee and no more, estimate for a general piece of furniture within mainland UK £70 - £100 plus vat.
Please bear in mind that all antiques have slight blemishes and this adds to the character of them.
Cancellation forms can be forwarded to you on request.
The refund will be be made no later than 14 days after the day we receive the goods back from you.

Please note if you cancel a purchase after paying but before the item has been delivered, we will issue a full refund excluding a 10% administration fee.
Please note that in the very unlikely event an item is delivered and arrives with damaged packaging, it is a requisite by many insurance companies used by shippers/couriers that the following is undertaken as soon as possible
1) photographs taken of the packaging/box before being opened and emailed to me
2) no packaging/boxes must be destroyed or cut as these may need to be viewed
3) photographs taken of the item (if damaged) and emailed to me
