Papier Mache Painted Framed Plaque

Description
A finely painted mid 19thc papier mache mounted panel of 'Sancho & the Duchess', in a gilded frame. This is after Charles Robert Leslie.The panel is surrounded by a shaped & gilded edge & is mounted onto green fabric, framed within a gilded wooden frame. This panel was possibly originally a hand held face screen.
This subject was influenced from the 'Don Quixote' books where the character 'Sancho' became the Squire to Don Quixote & they had many adventures together.
This oil is of fine quality & on closer examination there appears to be some marks on the surface, however these are fragments from the gilt edging lying on the surface of the panel.

RETURNS
Customers purchasing items over the internet can be assured that we offer a 14 day returns policy in the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your purchase.
We will issue a full refund less the RETURN transport/courier costs once the item is returned back to us in the same condition as when it left us and with the same courier, the return fee should be the same as the delivery fee and no more, estimate for a general piece of furniture within mainland UK £70 - £100 plus vat.
Please bear in mind that all antiques have slight blemishes and this adds to the character of them.
Cancellation forms can be forwarded to you on request.
The refund will be be made no later than 14 days after the day we receive the goods back from you.

Please note if you cancel a purchase after paying but before the item has been delivered, we will issue a full refund excluding a 10% administration fee.
Please note that in the very unlikely event an item is delivered and arrives with damaged packaging, it is a requisite by many insurance companies used by shippers/couriers that the following is undertaken as soon as possible
1) photographs taken of the packaging/box before being opened and emailed to me
2) no packaging/boxes must be destroyed or cut as these may need to be viewed
3) photographs taken of the item (if damaged) and emailed to me
