Rare Huntley Palmer biscuit tin in the shape of a world globe was designed not only to hold biscuits but to also be used as an educational toy. Made as a limited edition in 1906, this rare tin globe has a hinged lid and shows Great Britain and the extent of its territories (circa 1906) in pink. It sits on 4 bun feet and has a hinged lid with a handle on the top. There is some fading, rust and a small dint (see pics). It has great patina and is a fantastic piece.Measures:
19cm high
18cm diameter.
