Description

An excellent and quite sophisticated mahogany campaign writing slope, the exterior with brass protected corners with fleur de lys embellishment and central clear cartouche. Excellent quality campaign handles.

Many features internally, including two secret drawers, released by a brass rod. Replacement leather skiver to writing slope, unusually it retains the original leather pockets to the top with pockets for each day. Behind this, there is a folio for important papers or letters. See pictures. Additional storage to the base of the box, including a beautifully fitted long drawer. Two working locks with keys, one for the main external lock and one for the internal slope.

This is an exceptionally good writing slope, definitely one for the serious collector.
