Pair Venetian Blackamoor Torchere Candlearbra

Description
A fine pair of softwood painted Venetain Blackamoor Torcheres , beautifully carved and decorated in black and gold paint,with an upper candlearbra conversion,with hand crafted metal gilt leaves attached,having been cut out and made from thin steel sheet.They have been rewired in the recent past and have been fitted with modern flame effect bulbs.
The tops of the torcheres have been fitted with a modern looking collar to secure the metal candlearbra attachment and arms above.
The condition is fair for the age and there are signs of careful restoration and some retouching.
Further tidying would be fairly easy and would benefit them further.
They are great antique examples,with similar modern copies seen regularly,still achieving high prices.

Delivery by private courier within the UK Mainland will be used for very large paintings and is charged at a flat rate of £80 for paintings only [ allow 7-14 days delivery time ]
International Delivery Quotes Worldwide are available on request by providing your full name and address together with a postal / area code and a contact number.
Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is found to have been misdescribed and the purchaser may be liable for the return costs subject to reasons for return.
Returns authorisation should be requested by sending an e-mail before posting.
Once we receive the item in good order as supplied not withstanding notified transit damage, we will return payment using the same payment method.
