CARVED OAK LIVERY CABINET ON STAND LATE 18TH CENTURY

A splendid Period Oak Livery Cupboard dating from the 18th Century.

The upper part of this superbly carved piece has two doors enclosing a shelved cupboard, this stands on a pot board base supported by turned and carved pillars and it stands on chunky bun feet.

The cornice is elaborately and the door panels are carved with stylised flora and leaves and there is further decoration around the pot board base.

A fine carved oak cabinet on stand depicting a pair of soldiers in armour preparing for battle,supported by a pair of lower turned column supports.

A heavy planked bottom panel infilled with back panelling all being nicely waxed and with good patina.

There is excellent detail throughout with deep carved panels in relief.A pair of opening doors to the front,reveals a central fixed centre support.

Finished to top and bottom edges with bevalled architraving.

The cabinet has round ball feet to the front.

CONDITION
Beautifully polished highly waxed finish with deep glazed rich patina.Solid construction.
Old lock still in situ with key for upper doors.
Some evidence of very old wood worm,all dead and treated regardless,although this has occured over 100 years ago.
All tiny holes waxed over and not seen,adding charactor and charm to a very aged piece of furniture.

Shipping costs are charged based on the particular service used [ either next day express or economy ] and Size / Weight of item.

Delivery by private courier within the UK Mainland will be used for very large paintings and is charged at a flat rate of £80 for paintings only [ allow 7-14 days delivery time ]

International Delivery Quotes Worldwide are available on request by providing your full name and address together with a postal / area code and a contact number.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is found to have been misdescribed and the purchaser may be liable for the return costs subject to reasons for return.

Returns authorisation should be requested by sending an e-mail before posting.

Once we receive the item in good order as supplied not withstanding notified transit damage, we will return payment using the same payment method.
