Description
A good 19th century marlin spike, oak handle, copper spike and banded with brass. Marlin spikes were used by sailors on ships to either secure knots in the rigging or sometimes to repair fishing nets, quite a handy tool, today they are often used to secure ropes for camping. Circa 1872L 7" x 1.5 max. 18cm x 4cm
