Pair of Brass Griffin Chenets from France. These brass fireplace chenets/fire dogs are in the form of fabulous mythical creatures with an eagles head and wings and a lions body. They are symbolic and wonderfully suited to be guardians of the home. They are superbly made and are pressed brass rather than the normal cast brass. In immaculate original condition. Can also be displayed as chimney pieces.
