Description

A lovely early 20th Century mahogany longcase clock by "Tho Schofield" of London, with marquetry decoration on the door, bottom of the trunk and the broken arch pediment on the hood, the hood also has brass columns and brass patraes, the case is a lovely mahogany colour and very impressive. The 8 day movement with quarter chiming on bells and hourly strike on a gong has a brass dial and silvered chapter rings and gilt spandrels , has a chime / silent mechanism. The movement has been serviced and overhauled recently. Circa 1900.
