Description

A fantastic quality 19th Century French walnut display cabinet of good proportions, having a three section parquetry top with a shaped gallery and a nice moulded edge, above three oak lined drawers with brass escutcheons and decorated with wooden beading on the drawer fronts as well as the three doors below, bevelled glass doors and sides which have lovely brass decoration in the corners, with a single shelf either side and two shelves at the centre, with each shelf having brass bead decoration around the edges, the front of the cabinet having four turned and fluted columns inlaid with brass and carved swag ornament, the bottom section having carved patraes and standing on turned feet, lovely quality and fantastic colour. Circa 1880.
