Description

19th Century Japanese four tier lacquered cabinet, finished in a black lacquer profusely decorated with golden butterflies, the cabinet having brass engraved corner plates and plates on the edge of each tier, the front of the cabinet having two hinged doors opening to reveal a large compartment space, the inside of the doors having two painted Chinese figures, lovely detail of the brass hinges and plates engraved with floral decoration, the tiers supported on square columns terminating on feet with bras engraved caps. Circa 1880.
