Description

A superb 19th Century mahogany partners desk stamped Gillows, the thumb moulded edge top having a green leather writing surface decorated with blind tooling, each side of the desk having an arrangement of six graduated drawers and cupboard opening to reveal a single shelf inside, both cupboards having a workable lock and key, all drawers having cedar linings and original wooden turned knob handles, the ends of the desk having decorative shaped mouldings and carved wooden patraes, supported on a moulded plinth base, the top drawer is stamped Gillows (see photo) Circa 1840.
