Marvellous Furniture

Description

Made by Gordon Russell Ltd in the 1950s/60s, this mid-century modern sideboard is of beautifully figured walnut either in the solid (for the drawers fronts) or veneered onto plywood or blockboard. The base and the edging around the top are in a contrasting lighter wood and it has turned wooden handles. It has three drawers, the upper one lined with baize and separated into three compartments, and two cupboards, one with a shelf. It is labelled to the back.

142cm wide, 85.5cm high and 49cm deep. Externally, the drawers are all 12cm high. The shelves on the left hand side measure 18.5cm and 22cm high. The right hand cupboard is 42cm high inside.

It is in excellent condition.
