Description
This Arts & Crafts bureau bookcase is made of solid oak and has a drawer, fall front and an arrangement of shelves. It has inverted hearts pierced through the three-quarter gallery and the pierced sides are decorated with ornate and attractive screw heads. The interior is fitted and the back is panelled.It measures 75.5cm wide, 166.5cm high and 44.5cm deep. The fall front is 75cm high when lowered and the two top shelves are 22cm and 21cm high. The lower shelf is adjustable.
It is in good, restored condition. The fall front has a well-executed splice and the handles are sympathetic replacements. The lock is functioning and has a key.
