An absolutely gorgeous vintage French gilt metal wheat sheaf coffee table, dating from the 1950’s.

This is a very rare large version, the beautifully gilded wheatsheaf base has silvered embellishments on the wheat and flowers. The base is wide and impressive, it holds a large clear rectangular glass top with bevelled and chamfered edges.

It is an iconic and stylish design, made famous by Coco Chanel, it is of fantastic quality and has very fine details.

The condition is excellent for its age with only some extremely minor wear and patina. There is one absolutely miniscule chip to one corner of the glass top, seen in the images and barely noticeable at all in real life.
