Description

A charming and useful antique blanket chest in solid mahogany, this dates from the George III period around the 1790 period or possibly a bit earlier.

It is a great size and very well made, with exposed dovetailed joints on the corners. The mahogany has recently been revived & wax polished, while still retaining plenty of character and patina. There are various marks and indentations that you would expect on a piece that is around 200 years old. It has a wonderful original colour.

It’s a fabulous & very rare item I think it would be great at the end of a bed or used as a seat with storage somewhere else in the home.

Width – 60 inches , 153 cm
