A charming 18th century French walnut shelved armoire, of pegged construction.

c1780.

The walnut to this very charming armoire has a rich patina, with an abundance of warmth and character.

The double doors having the original hinges, open to reveal four deep shelves. These could be removed and fitted with a hanging rail if preferred. We would be happy to provide and fit a hanging rail.

There is an original iron bolt-lock to the top of the left door, the right door has a working lock and key, which is a later replacement.

The doors can be lifted off their hinges easily, the armoire then dismantles to two sections, the top lifts off the base, making it very easy to maneuver around awkward corners.

In excellent antique condition. Very solid, sturdy and strong.
