A Victorian mahogany pedestal desk of good quality. c1870.

Of rounded corner design. Having an inset brown / tan gold tooled writing surface.

The two pedestals have four graduating drawers each, flanking a long central single drawer so having nine drawers in total.

The drawers are mahogany lined and of dove-tail construction, showing excellent quality.

Elegant and ornate brass swan-neck handles, brass locks and escutcheons with working key.

Standing on a plinth base, with brass castors.

The desk dismantles into three sections, so very easy to lift and maneuver.

In excellent antique condition. The leather is newly fitted so is completely unused. Recently re-french polished so has a fresh finish to the mahogany. The brass castors are new replacements.

Very solid, sturdy and strong.
