ARTS & CRAFTS WARDROBE

This is an Arts & Crafts Walnut Double wardrobe c1880-1900. It is raised on a plinth base with quadrant moulding to the top of it. It has a single lower drawer that goes the full width of hte wardrobe and retains its orginal fittings. To the main carcas there is a central bevel edge mirror glass door with key that hinges on the right hand side. The side panels flanking are of solid walnut fielded panels and delicate line moulding to the upper section. The cornice is a large ogee moulding with quadrant moulding to the lower part. The inside has been painted with egg shell white paint and has two original hanging rails going back from the main door either side. The carcas is solid walnut and very heavy and of superior quality.
