ANTIQUE REGENCY DESK c1811-20

This is a great rare Regency writing desk c1811-20. The Golden age of Cabinet making was at its height and wealthy families would order a piece made for them specifically like this piece with its wonderful unusual and rare design not to say practical.

It is raised on slender tapering turned legs with three drawers and moulded decoration the drawer fronts. The edge of the desk above and below the drawers has triple beading. The upper back section has a wonderfully ornate Regency bookcase section with single shelf and triple reeded moulding to the edge of the upper section. A great desk.
