Description

 This is a lovely small example of a late Victorian Sutherland table c1890-1910.  It has shaped and curved legs with slatted decoration to each end with a slender tapering leg support on each side on red china Victorian castors.  The top edge is chamfered showing the influence of the Arts & Crafts movement at this time. The Sutherland table is proported to be named after Harriet Duchess of Sutherland (1806-1868).
