Description

This is a lovely small example of a Shapland and Petter Walnut Hall stand c1890-1910.  It is raised on a small base with twin green original drip trays for the water run off from umbrellas.  It has a single drawer with wooden holding rails to each side for walking sticks and umbrellas.  Above this is a splash back of tiles which are most probably Minton.  The top section has the classic shape with the mid section sticking out slightly and the difference in hangers that you common find with S & P.  Above the mirror is a gallery rail of square turned detail also common for S & P.  Please see the bottom right of the S & P drawn catalogue page.  A great piece.
