Description

This is a Superior Quality Antique George IV - William IV Mahogany sideboard c1820-40.  It is raised on short turned legs with turned rings to the base and carved corinthian decoration to the top.  The fore legs are canted out after the Gillows style so prevalent at this point.  The front has the D section protruding forward so typical of this period.  There are a pair of central drawers with a cupboard to the left hand side and decanter drawer to the right hand side.  The top has a quandrant moulding with a large back rail to the top.  This is a seriously heavy piece of furniture by anyones standards and such quality.
