Description

This is a lovely late Victorian Arts & Crafts Oak sideboard c1890-1910.  After the Scottish influence at this time it is raised on slab ends with shaped sides and shaped front frieze.  It is of a dog kennel style with a pair of cupboard doors and a pair of drawers over the open dog kennel lower middle.  You dont have to put a dog in it.  Above this is an exaggerated main top with bracket supports following the Scottish influence in style at this point in the Arts & Crafts movement.  The Upper section has a central lower bevel edge mirror with pierced fretwork sides and quarter brackets to the shelf.  Above this is a central leaded glass door with blue, green and clear glass which is flanked by a pair of copper panels with flowers going towards the square roses so prevalent at this time.
