Description

This is a wonderful example of a late Victorian Oak Arts & Crafts wardrobe. It is riased on slab side with a shaped front apron. It has a single door that hinges on the right hand side wtih key which Isnt the original. The door has lovely copper hinges with carved floral panels to each isde and a moulding above it to frame it. The Upper cornice is seriously imposing by anyones estimate. It has twin hanging rails inside going forward so you can use modern coat hangers in it. It is influenced from the Scottish school which was prevalent at thsi point with the imposing cornice. A great piece that doesnt come apart in any way. I cant find any markings on it but I got this piece within 5 miles of Barnstaple so make of that what you will. A superb example and a real eye catcher. If its going upstairs please measure three times with this piece.

it is

79 inches high

20 inches deep at the upper cornice

15 1/4 inches deep at the base

33 1/4 inches wide at the base

42 inches wide at the cornice
