Description

This is an Antique George III Elm Vernacular Chair c1790-1810. It is raised on square legs with chamfered insides and stretchers that go around the outside of the chair base. It has a solid Elm seat and lots of history and wear to it. This piece has walked through history like a time traveller observing many generations and seeing untold things from world wars to empire. If it could talk what would it say? The back is a shield shape after Hepplewhite's influence with an ornately shaped and pierced splat.
