This is an Arts & Crafts Philip Clissett of Bosbury Victorian Vernacular side chair. William Morris & Ernest Gimson championed the return of the Vernacular Chair. Please see page 298 of The English Regional Chair by Bernard D Cotton. This example has had some worm which has been treated and gone and the bottom of the front legs have been extended slightly, but it doesnt detract. A rare chair.it is
