Unusual Victorian cast iron 'box' type hot iron , made by 'J&J Siddons' of West Bromwich, with an elm handle and a beautifully embossed and monogramed hand guard. Also with a hinged lid and sliding latch type fastener and turned knob , to reveal the heating space, which is all intact and original.
