Sturdy mid 19th century elm and mahogany iron clad strong box, with wrought iron over sized hinges, carrying handles, and strap work throughout, also with an inset brass tablet to the lid, and a candle shelf to the interiorA characterful looking chest , which has a charming well polished finish to the timbers and the metalwork which would make for great handy storage in the home whilst also doubling for a coffee table with a difference, or perhaps a side table/end table.
