Rare 17th Century Italian Cassone Chest

A wonderful 17th century Italian cassone chest in cedar, with historic scenes in penwork and pokerwork to the front, sides and interior lid, a rare survivor, in excellent condition, with the most lovely colour to the cedar lid. Circa 1650.The cassone was likely to be a marriage chest.
