Description

A watercolour interior scene with a young woman writing a letter . It is by Joseph Kirkpatrick ( 1872 -1930 ). It is signed and dated 1904 indistinctly on an old label on the back of the picture frame . He is better known for his rural scenes . The picture is26.5 cms x 19cms . There is a little damage to the frame (see photo) . I personally prefer it left alone .
There is a charmingly slightly naive quality about it .
