A very good example of a Welsh Oak Cutlery wall pocket. Wire hinged with great colour and patination. What's unusual about this piece is the size. I usually (when I can find them) buy them a lot smaller. Exciting to find one this size. It's 20.5" wide 16" high and a little over 4" deep. Circa 1760.
