17th Century, Charles II,Joined Oak Panel-Back Open Armchair,
North Country, Circa 1670.
The back with a narrow lunette-carved panel atop a large lozenge-carved panel, the top rail guilloche-carved, the relatively flat scroll-ended arms on columnar-turned supports, the boarded seat with ovolo-moulded edge, on matching turned front legs, joined all round by stretchers.
