Description

A rare Wang Hing silver salt dish.

It came from a private house in Scotland.

It is stamped ' WH ' '90' and another mark in chinese.

The maker is one of the finest silversmiths Wang Hing & co, from Hong Kong which were prolific during the late 19th/ early 20th Century.

I believe the pot to be late Victorian but unsure of exact date.

The pot design portrays a look of it being made by silver coins joined together.

It is fantastic quality which is to be expected of a piece of Wang Hing silver.

I believe it to be a Salt pot.

The pot measures roughly 1.5 " high by 1.5" across the rim by 1.5" deep.
