Very unusual and rare georgian coffin shaped grease pot. This is a fantastic quality piece, in all original condition I believe. I believe it to be a grease pot/ box, as it still has some grease in the pot. The box is in the shape of a coffin, which makes it even more charming. The pot is from the georgian period and is very gothic in style. It is made from early carved oak, and has plenty of wear which adds to the appeal, showing it is all original. The pot has came straight from a private house in scotland which had lots of weird and wonderful items present. It measures roughly 4. 75" long by 1. 5" across the center by 1. 5" high.
