Description

Fantastic edwardian carved lapis penguin. The main body is made from lapis lazuli with a white jade or moonstone belly. Its eyes are coral and his beak is polished brass. He is a brilliant piece with loads of character. I believe he is edwardian in age, so roughly 1900/ 1910? Came from a collection in a private house in scotland. Measuring roughly 2" high by 1" across by 0. 5" deep. With expected wear and tear from an item this age.
