Description

This lovely item is sold in unrestored condition. It is made in lovely rosewood.
It has a three quarter gallery of pierced gilt brass to the upper shelf. This is raised on two turned and reeded columns to the front and a rectangular mirror flanked by two pilasters to the back. The bookcase part has two adjustable shelves with polished tops with wooden zigzag supports. It is flanked by stiles with moulded decoration each side of a line of half moon circles. The tops are lotus corbels. The whole is raised on a plinth base.
The mirror shows slight signs of ageing. The fronts of the top shelf and the top of the bookcase front may need attention to the veneer, which although all in one piece due to heat and age is showing signs of age.
